Bertha Yager Cody, 85, of Silver Springs, a retired laboratory technician for Morton Salt Co., died Thursday (Dec. 23, 1999) in Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw after a long illness.

The native of Pike was em-ployed by Morton for 45 years in Silver Springs until her retirement in 1976.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

Her husband, Gordon Cody, died in 1982.

Survivors include two daughters, Winnie Granger of Rochester and Kay Coffey; a son, Maurice "Red" Cody of Rochester; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 23 Church St. Prayers will be said at 10:15 in Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 Main St., Warsaw. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
