About 50 members of the 914th Airlift Wing of the U.S. Air Force Reserve out of the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station are spending Christmas providing humanitarian assistance to flood victims in Venezuela.

Flying C-130 transport planes from U.S. military facilities in Puerto Rico, the reservists are airlifting passengers, medical equipment, fuel, water purification equipment and other essential supplies to help victims of devastating floods that have killed thousands and left thousands more homeless. The flight crews and support personnel are due to return home after Jan. 1.
