Town of Tonawanda Highway Superintendent John G. Hedges announced Wednesday that the town once again will provide its residents with free mulching service for discarded Christmas trees following the holiday season.
"We realize that right now everyone's mind is on buying and decorating trees," Hedges noted. "However, once residents discard their trees, they will be picked up and turned into mulch. The highway department has been doing this for several years and we believe it shows our commitment to recycling."
The tree mulch will be made available free of charge to town residents. For further information, call 875-8822.
