Services were held Wednesday in Rochester for former Buffalo resident Marcelyn Smith, who died Sunday (Dec. 19, 1999) in Park Ridge Hospital, Greece. The Rochester resident was 71.
A graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy and the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy, the former Marcelyn Burke moved to Rochester about 1948. After raising her family she returned to her profession as a pharmacist and retired from Park Ridge after 17 years.
She is survived by four sons, Mark of Warrenton, Va., Craig and David, both of Rochester, and Bradley of Castile; two daughters, Mary Jo Kilroy and Tracy Humphrey, both of Rochester; a stepbrother, James Kaletta of Cheektowaga; and 14 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christina Burial was offered in St. Lawrence Church. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
