LOTTERY WINNER ASKS FOR ANONYMITY

A local woman who wants to remain anonymous is the most recent winner in the New York State Lottery's Win 4 Life game.

Thomas Johnson, who owns the U.S. News stores in Jamestown and in the Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood, said Wednesday the woman claimed the prize Tuesday. The ticket was bought at the mall store.

"She had purchased it a few days previous to that, and brought it back in, and sure enough, it was validated by the New York State Lottery, and the person won $1,000 a week for the rest of her life," said Johnson.

"A person in their mid-20s (like her) -- if they live a normal life for 50 (more) years, they'll get $52,000 a year for 50 years, which is well over $2.5 million," said Johnson.
