The winners in the Residential Division of the Board of Public Utilities' annual Christmas lighting contest were all first-time participants.
BPU Spokeswoman Sue Jones said the owner of one home didn't even enter. She said a neighbor entered the Harry Stormer residence on 18th Street, which won the "Best Religious Theme" award.
Other residential winners were:
"Best All-Around," Robert and Sheila Whitford of East Pearl Street, Falconer.
"Most Effective Use of Lighting," John and Bonnie Dalrymple of Niagara Street.
"Best Holiday Theme," Thomas and Karen Sherbine of Barrett Avenue.
"Most Original," Anthony Marino of Newland Avenue.
In the Commercial Division, the "Best All Around" trophy went to Heritage Park Nursing Home on Prather Avenue. Other winners were:
Esquire Cleaners on East Second Street, "Most Effective Use of Lighting."
Third and Cherry Business Center, "Best Holiday Theme."
Jones said there was one winner in the Industrial Division -- JTM Group of East Second Street for "Most Effective Use of Lighting."
