LEADERSHIP BUFFALO HAS OPENINGS
IN ITS 'FIRST IMPRESSIONS' PROGRAM

Leadership Buffalo, which for 12 years has worked to raise the caliber and define the direction of Western New York's leaders, offers a very well-received program called "First Impressions.

The program is designed to introduce new executives to community leaders.

First Impressions, which consists of a dinner and evening program each month for five months starting in March, is open to newly arrived top executives at Buffalo-area companies.

The idea is to help the new executives and their spouses feel welcome, aid them in meeting new people who are like them in taking a new job in a new city, and introduce them to the region's issues, assets and leaders.

About 10 to 12 executives and their spouses are welcome to take part in either of two sessions this year. Dozens of people have gone through it to date and said it was extremely valuable to them.

Past subjects covered in the evening sessions included history, arts, education, culture, heath and human services, current events, and the future.

The tuition is $2,700 per executive and the deadline for application is March 15, 2000. Spouses attend for free.
