City lawmakers are scheduled to vote Jan. 1 on changing the City Council's meeting schedule.
Council President Michael J. Mistretta said the change would provide for more public input at what would be two work sessions and one voting session per month.
"What this will do is it will provide input. It will provide an opportunity for the citizens to express their concerns, (and) their opinions on various issues," he said. "It'll give the Council an additional two weeks, really, to think about and research issues, and concerns of the citizens of Jamestown."
