The greatest golfer of the 20th century is gearing up his game for the 21st.
In addition to the four major championships on the PGA Tour and Senior Tour, Jack Nicklaus said he plans to devote himself to tournament golf more than he has in the past 15 years.
"I don't know how successful I'm going to be, but you never know unless you try," he said. "I'd like to give it a try for a season and see what I've got.
"I think I may fool some people," Nicklaus said. "I think I may even fool myself."
Nicklaus, who is one month shy of turning 60, had hip replacement surgery a year ago. He estimates he will play 20 events on both tours this year, starting with the MasterCard Championship and Senior Skins game in Hawaii next month, followed by the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am the first week of February.
