EMPLOYEE TIED UP, STRUCK IN CAMPUS STORE ROBBERY

An employee of the campus store at D'Youville College was tied up and hit in the face during a robbery Tuesday afternoon, according to Central District police.

The robbery occurred at about 5:15 p.m. at the Porter Avenue store, where two robbers bound the employee's hands and feet before taking about $5,000, officers were told. The victim suffered a bruise to her head when she was hit by one of the robbers.
