Bernadine M. Grandolfo, a former Kimberly-Clark employee, died Sunday (Dec. 19, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital. She was 74.
Mrs. Grandolfo worked for 17 years at the former company plant on Packard Road. She also worked at the Niagara Falls Country Club, and she was employed by Motorola Inc. while living in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from 1972 to 1975.
Born in the Falls, the former Bernadine Rotella married Roberto Grandolfo in Genoa, Italy, in 1960, and the couple re-turned to Genoa several times over the years.
She was a member of Cataract Lodge 240 of the Italian Sons and Daughters, the Our Lady of Fatima Guild and St. Mary of the Cataract Church.
Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Michael; a daughter, Mariangela Smith of Lewiston; her stepmother, Caterina Rotella; two sisters, Mary Lou Rawls of the Town of Tonawanda and Sarah Rotella; a brother, Bernard Rotella of Sanborn; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's of the Cataract Catholic Church, 259 Fourth St., after prayers at 8:45 in Spallino Funeral Home, 1300 Pine Ave.
