Arthur "Billy" Cowart, 55, of Dallas, Ga., formerly of Niagara Falls, an employee of Eastman Kodak Co. since 1976, died Monday (Dec. 20, 1999) in Atlanta following a brief illness.
He was born in Niagara Falls and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.
Cowart worked for Kodak in Dallas, Texas, and Houston, and at the time of his death was an executive with the firm in Atlanta.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1971.
Cowart enjoyed fishing and photography.
Survivors include his wife, the former Annie Jo Cauley of Dallas, Ga.; two sons, Brian of Acworth, Ga., and Darian of Marietta, Ga.; a daughter, Jeannine Thomas of Marietta; his mother, Fannie; five brothers, Charles and Allen, both of Grand Island, Otis and Eugene, both of Buffalo, and Willie; four sisters, Muriel Porter of Grand Island, Rosemarie Nix of Marietta, Ga., Shirley of Buffalo and Annie Lampkin; and four grandchildren.
Services be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Bethlehem Revival Center, 2010 Virginia Ave. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
