Andrew Armstrong, 63, of Kenmore, a retired industrial engineer, died unexpectedly Friday (Dec. 17, 1999) at his residence.
Born in Buffalo, Armstrong was a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a member of DKE fraternity.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Armstrong was employed by what is now Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems as an industrial engineer for 35 years.
He was a member of Deerhurst Neighborhood Watch and a former member of the Lockport Jaycees. An avid gardener, he took great pride in his yard. His hobby was boating, and he was a member of the Swiftwater and LaSalle boating clubs.
Armstrong is survived by his wife, the former Martha "Marge" Gurzynski; three sons, Scott, Mark and John; and five grandchildren.
Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in C. Mertz & Sons Funeral Home, 911 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:45 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1085 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
