DOMINIC F. MAGLIARDITI, <br> NIAGARA NOVELTY OWNER

Dominic F. Magliarditi, 84, former owner of Niagara Novelty Co., died Saturday (Dec. 18, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness.

Magliarditi was born in Niagara Falls and attended local schools.

He served briefly in the Army in 1945.

Magliarditi worked with his father, Giuseppe, in a family-owned grocery store at 19th Street and Ferry Avenue. In 1968, he started Niagara Novelty Co. with his son, Joseph, who took over the business in 1998.

Magliarditi was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

In addition to his son, survivors include a daughter, Mary K. of Van Nuys, Calif.; a sister, Elizabeth Martelli; his companion of 24 years, Claire DellaValle; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Church, 14th Street and Pine Avenue, after prayers at 10 in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St.
