CHILDREN'S GIFTS STOLEN FROM HAMPSHIRE ST. HOME

A Hampshire Street woman returned home early Sunday to find that her house had been ransacked and $900 worth of Christmas presents were stolen. The presents for her five children were wrapped and underneath the Christmas tree, she said. Also taken was $1,200 worth of jewelry and $200 cash.

"I'm still crying, the woman said Sunday night. "Guess I'll have to start over.

Someone broke into a Parkdale Avenue home overnight and the only thing reported missing was a 3-year-old girl's piggy bank.

A resident of the house estimated the bank contained close to $100 that relatives had given to the girl over the years.

"She was very happy . . . now she's crying, a resident said.
