Francois Methot ended an 11-game goal-less drought by scoring a pair to lead the Rochester Americans to a 4-1 victory over the Albany River Rats in the AHL.

Methot's eighth goal of the season broke a 1-1 tie at 8:34 of the second period. Moving into the left circle, the second-year centerman boomed a rising slap shot past goalie Mike Buzak.

Methot scored the insurance goal 6:06 into the third period, firing a loose puck past Buzak off a faceoff in the right circle for a 3-1 lead.

Jason Cipolla then clinched the victory for Rochester (19-10-2-1), converting Chris Taylor's centering pass with seven minutes remaining.
