The Disney Magic cruise ship will sail on seven-day voyages instead of three- and four-day cruises beginning in August.
"The No. 1 request we get from our guests is for more time on the ship," said Disney spokesman Mark Jaronski. "This will allow us to add variety to our itinerary."
The Disney Magic has sailed on three- and four-day cruises out of Port Canaveral to the Bahamas since its maiden voyage in July 1998. It will add St. Maarten, St. Thomas and St. John as ports of call when seven-day cruises begin Aug. 12.
Cost for a seven-day cruise will start at $829 per person. The Magic's sister ship, the Disney Wonder, will continue sailing three- and four-day cruises to the Bahamas with prices starting at $434 and $519 respectively.
The Disney Wonder, which began sailing last August, will also add Freeport as a port on four-day cruises starting in August 2000.
