LOCKPORT WOMAN ATTACKED, BITTEN BY DOG

A Washburn Street woman was taken to Lockport Memorial Hospital on Tuesday after she badly bitten on both arms when a dog attacked her near her home, Lt. Michael Niethe said.

Mabel Pollock, 46, was injured at 3 p.m. when a black dog broke away from the woman who was walking it and charged her. Ms Pollock was released after treatment, a hospital official said.

Mabel Laskey, 52, of Washburn Street, who was walking the dog, was given a ticket, police said.
