What's all this talk about a memorial for World War II veterans? It has been nearly 55 years since the war ended. Most of us veterans are over 70 years of age now, some of us are over 80 and a lot of the veterans are no longer with us.
Isn't it a little late for a monument that most of us will never see? And to top it all off, the government expects us to contribute money for it -- as if we didn't do enough already.
