MEETING TO AIR CONCERNS OVER TRAINS IN N. BUFFALO

In response to concerns about trains passing through North Buffalo, the Parkside Community Association will hold an informational meeting on federal railroad regulations at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Central Community Center, 2456 Main St.

Among the federal regulations that will be discussed are the use of horns, speed limits and track ratings. Also on the agenda will be enforcement efforts, the types of cargo that are hauled through city neighborhoods and disaster preparedness in the event of a hazardous spill.

Representatives from the Federal Railroad Administration and the Erie County Office of Disaster Preparedness will speak.
