Hilda Spectoroff, 93, a resident of Niagara Falls since the 1950s and widow of a former owner of radio station WHLD, died Sept. 5, 1999, in her home on West Rivershore Drive on Cayuga Island.
A native of England, the former Hilda Lewis moved to Hamilton, Ont., in 1913 and to Niagara Falls in the 1950s.
She was the widow of Walter Carpenter, Earl C. Hull and Maurice Spectoroff.
Hull owned WHLD during their marriage. After Hull died, she married Spectoroff in 1981. Spectoroff had presented a weekly program of operatic music, "Music From Maurice," on WHLD during the 1960s and '70s. He died Aug. 6, 1997.
Burial for Mrs. Spectoroff will be Wednesday in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa., following private services.
