George B. Mason, 80, of Naples, Fla., a former Pendleton resident who was a retired office manager and senior auditor for Alling & Cory Paper Co. in Buffalo, died Monday (Sept. 27, 1999) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a brief illness while visiting this area.
A native of Toronto, he had worked at the firm for 36 years before his retirement.
He was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Mason lived in the Town of Pendleton for 27 years before moving to Naples in 1983. He was a 42-year member and past president of the Wendelville Volunteer Fire Company. He also was a 25-year member of Niagara Lodge 375, F&AM, Lockport.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, the former Vivian B. Zimmer; a son, Wayne of Gasport; two daughters, Linda Shutt and Karen Mason, both of Lockport; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services are planned.
