A former prison inmate who failed to show up for a court appearance is the subject of this week's Crime Stoppers search.
Max Montoya was an inmate in Erie County Correctional Facility when he was accused of attacking another inmate. That incident led to charges of assault and inciting a riot.
Montoya was arraigned in Alden Town Court, but failed to show up for a follow-up court appearance in October 1997. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
The last known address for Montoya, 44, was on Tonawanda Street in Buffalo. He is described as balding, 5-feet-7 and 180 pounds, with a medium build.
