Utah Jazz guard Jeff Hornacek will not return after next season, and says he would have quit already except the lockout-shortened 1999 season gave him a little time off.
"I am just going to play one more year. That's it," Hornacek said Friday after being inducted in the Iowa State Hall of Fame. "I have played for a long time now, and my kids are getting old, and I miss a lot of their sports. It's just time."
Hornacek, a free agent, still hasn't settled on a deal for the upcoming season.
The 36-year-old had knee surgery in July, but says he is healthy enough to play another two or three years if he wanted to.
