A recent editorial applauded a new study of labor relations and the local work force. Do we need to spend $75,000 to get people to be reasonable?
In reality, as long as labor law in this state is tilted toward labor and unions own the state legislature -- through campaign contributions, money extorted from workers -- there will be no change.
This state needs to become a Right to Work state. If you check which states have Right to Work laws you will quickly see the economic benefit, but what newspaper would ever print that?
What business in its right mind would walk into the Buffalo teacher mess? What business would want to try to build something and have to contend with a Project Labor Agreement? That's why only government or massive government aid can build anything here.
