Buffalo Chapter of Brandeis University Women's Committee will sponsor its annual paperback book sale Oct. 7-9 in Boulevard Mall. Adrienne Baltuch, Arline Gellman and Janice Robbins are chairwomen.
Marcia Finton, a retired Erie County librarian, will lead a discussion on the debut collection of stories exploring the world of Jewish orthodoxy, "For the Relief of Unbearable Urges" by Nathan Englander, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. in the home of Ann Lee Ruben. Berna Koren is program coordinator.
Members will travel by bus to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., Oct. 12 to attend a performance of "Easy Virtue" and have lunch in Queen's Landing. Arlene Hankin is coordinating the trip.
Also planned is a trip to Rochester Oct. 28, when members will visit the Memorial Art Gallery and after lunch will tour the George Eastman House and International Museum of Photography and Film. Harriet Halpern is coordinator.
A series of bridge lessons will be held Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25 in the home of Tish Schiffman, who will be the instructor. Chapter board members will meet Oct. 16 in Westwood Country Club.
