Paula Listrani's second goal of the game gave the undefeated University at Buffalo women's soccer team a 3-2 Mid-American Conference victory Friday over host University of Toledo.
Listrani's first goal in the 34th minute gave UB a 1-1 tie and the Bulls took a 2-1 lead 11 minutes later on Linnaea Dinallo's goal on an assist from Listrani.
Listrani's game-winner came at 2:27 of overtime with Tara Donahue assisting as UB improved to 7-0-1 and 2-0 in the MAC. The Bulls' Jaime Adams made 12 saves.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Bree Fiest had 19 kills and Laurie Haefner contributed 37 assists for Niagara (1-11) but the Purple Eagles dropped a marathon match to Bucknell, 15-17, 15-7, 14-16, 15-11, 16-14, in Lewisburg, Pa. . . . Also at Bucknell, Colette FitzGerald and Candice Green had 11 kills each for Canisius which lost to Yale, 15-11, 15-4, 15-3. . . . Keri Shiels had 11 kills and 11 digs for UB but the Bulls (6-7, 0-2) dropped a 15-9, 15-6, 15-12 decision to Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va. . . . Mindy Greenauer (Cheektowaga) had 27 digs and 11 blocks for Buffalo State (4-13) in a 16-14, 14-16, 9-15, 15-12, 15-11 loss to Geneseo in pool play at Brockport, which swept Buffalo State in three games in another match.
MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: Tony David finished sixth, covering 10,000 meters in 32 minutes, 37 seconds as UB finished fourth in the Western Ontario Invitational in London, Ont. St. Francis (Pa.) won the meet with 35 points. UB had 131.
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: Casey Spencer was 10th in 18:57 for 5,000 meters and UB was fourth with 93 points in the Western Ontario Invitational. Guelph won with 44 points.
