Victoria C. Kolarich, 77, of 22nd Street, a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, died Thursday (Sept. 23, 1999) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.
The former Victoria Alfiere was born in Kyle, W.Va., and moved to Niagara Falls in 1945.
Mrs. Kolarich was a member of her church's Mother's Club and of its Senior Citizens group.
An avid bingo player, she also enjoyed cooking.
Mrs. Kolarich worked at the former Hotel Niagara for 10 years, at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Lewiston for three years, at the former International Paper mill for five years and as a cook at Niagara University for 10 years, until she retired in 1979.
Her husband, Steven Sr., died in 1978.
Survivors include a son, Steven Jr. of Grand Island; a daughter, Christine Frantz of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, John Alfiere; a sister, Julie Boncore of Hamburg; and two grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 339 22nd St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
