A man was killed and 22 people were injured Thursday night when a car crashed into a Manhattan restaurant.
Marcia Feltingoff, 51, of West New York, N.J., was leaving a parking garage on West 38th Street at about 8:30 p.m. when the car accelerated suddenly, smashing through the plate glass window at Arno's restaurant across the street, police said.
The car stopped when it hit the restaurant's back wall, police said.
Cirel Truch, 62, of New Jersey, who was in the restaurant, was pronounced dead in Bellevue Hospital after suffering a heart attack and head wounds. Seventeen of the injured restaurant patrons were taken to hospitals for treatment.
