Florence V. Wall, 70, of Saunders Settlement Road, who was a cook and bartender at the Marlboro Inn for 15 years, died Thursday (Sept. 23, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness.
The former Florence Hill was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and she moved to Buffalo in 1930.
Mrs. Wall was an avid bingo player who also enjoyed playing cards and reading.
Her husband, Elmer L., died in 1990.
Survivors include eight sons, Kenneth of Erlanger, Ky., Michael of Amherst, Robert of Akron, David and Kevin, both of Niagara Falls, Leonard of the Town of Tonawanda, Gordon and Keith; six daughters, Sharon Phetterplace of Erlanger, Sheila Belcher of London, Ky., Karen Wilson of North Tonawanda, Cheryl D'Angelo of Rochester, Lynne Saunderson of Niagara Falls and April Pavlak of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Wesley of Angola and Leonard of Buffalo; 32 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
