A memorial service for John W. White, 73, of Lancaster, Pa., formerly of Lititz, Pa., and a former employee of the G.L. Carlson Inc. office in Buffalo, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Fred F. Groff Funeral Home, Lancaster. Interment will be private.
White, a native of Thorndale, Pa., died Monday (Sept. 20, 1999) in Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster, after a brief illness.
He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II and attended Drexel Institute in Philadelphia for four years.
He worked for G.L. Carlson from 1948 to 1976 in Thorndale and later in Buffalo. He retired in 1976. He later returned to Pennsylvania.
White enjoyed woodworking and was a member of Brandywine Fox Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, the former Janet Wise; a daughter, Charlyn Scionolfi of Wheaton, Ill.; three sons, Bradley of Portage, Ind., Alan K. of Roslindale, Mass., and David B. of Greeley, Colo.; and five grandchildren.
