After 10 years of rescues and relationships, "Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff may be close to hanging up his trunks.
The 46-year-old actor, who plays lifeguard Mitch Buchannon on the syndicated series, said he wants to pursue other interests, including acting in a Broadway show.
"This may be my last season," Hasselhoff said recently. "Honestly, I don't know yet. See, the show is going through a rebirth. Whether I stay or leave the show remains to be seen. The option is open."
After nine seasons in Los Angeles, producers moved the show to Hawaii for at least 22 episodes of "Baywatch Hawaii."
The actor has been commuting to Los Angeles for other projects, including the miniseries "Shaka Zulu-The Citadel" and "The Diamond Hunter," and he is recording an album in Spanish.
"I'm not sure where this is all going to go," he said. "I'm not going to say I'm not coming back ... but, you know, 10 years is 10 years."
