Buffalo homicide investigators are seeking two men in a shooting last month on East Utica Street, where a 9-year-old girl and teen-ager were wounded.
The shooting occurred at about 11 p.m. Aug. 16 at a pay phone near 108 E. Utica. The teen-ager, who police said appeared to have been the target, was using the phone when two young men shot him in the left leg.
A stray shot hit the girl in the head as she returned from a neighborhood store. Both were rushed to area hospitals, and the assailants fled.
Police described the assailants as two black men in their late teens to early 20s, both with medium builds and about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and wearing black, hooded sweat shirts and black pants.
