East Carolina University moved its home game against ninth-ranked University of Miami to Raleigh because of severe flooding caused by Hurricane Floyd.

East Carolina, located in Greenville, about 80 miles east of Raleigh, is near the Tar River, which overflowed its banks after last week's powerful storm. The game is scheduled for Carter Finley Stadium, North Carolina State's home field. The Wolfpack is at Wake Forest on Saturday.

The East Carolina football team remained in Columbia, South Carolina, following its 21-3 win on Saturday over the University of South Carolina.

In other college football news, Ron Dayne became the Big Ten's career leading rusher last weekend on a sprained ankle, but the running back and his coaches said the injury is not serious.

"It's feeling good. I'm able to run," said Dayne, who was held out of several series in the first half of No. 20 Wisconsin's 17-12 loss to unranked Cincinnati because of the injured ankle.

Wisconsin plays host to No. 4 Michigan on Saturday.
