ROCHESTER COACH CLEARED IN PLAYER DEATH

A coach has been cleared of any negligence in the death of a high school football player who collapsed last month during a scrimmage.

An autopsy shows the youth died from a rare, hereditary heart defect.

That means longtime football coach Ben Nix has been "exonerated from any wrongdoing," the school district said Friday.
