Someone's been parachuting off the Skylon and Minolta towers, Niagara Regional Police confirmed Sunday.
"Someone jumped Saturday evening from the top of the Skylon," acting Staff Sgt. Doug Kane said.
"Today, it's the Minolta. We didn't know about the Skylon until security there called us this morning. We think it's a local parachute group, but no group was identified," he said Sunday.
Saturday's 7:45 p.m. Skylon jumper "landed safely below, gathered his gear and disappeared," Kane said.
Sunday, three parachutists jumped off the Minolta Tower.
"We received a complaint from the tower at 3:40 p.m.," Kane said. "Three people had parachuted to the ground about 3:15 p.m. It was the same deal. They gathered up their gear, and away they went."
Concluded Kane: "This must be some sort of a prank with a parachute club. We're not sure but there's a link there somewhere. Investigation is continuing at this point."
