Paul E. Vogel Sr. of West Seneca, a retired master plumber who founded a company that bears his name, died Friday (Sept. 17, 1999) in Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. He was 87.
A lifelong resident of this area, he founded Paul E. Vogel Plumbing & Heating in 1944. He retired in 1982.
He was a member of West Seneca Lodge 1111, F&AM; Buffalo Consistory; Ismailia Shrine Temple; Pond Chapter 853, Order of the Eastern Star; and St. Paul United Church of Christ, West Seneca, and its Nifty Fifties social group.
Survivors include his wife, the former Thelma E. Wagner; two daughters, Beverly Ann of Long Island and Lola Husack of Franklinville; a son, Paul E. Jr. of Cheektowaga; a sister, Lois Miner-Deets of Eggertsville; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hoy Funeral Home, 3855 Seneca St., West Seneca. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Orchard Park.
