Charlotte Gold Greenman, 84, a former Erie County employee and Buffalo businesswoman, died Sept. 10, 1999, in United Hebrew Geriatric Center in New Rochelle where she had lived for more than five years.
A Buffalo resident for nearly 50 years, Mrs. Greenman was co-owner for more than 25 years of the former Greenman's Baby Furniture, 2289 Delaware Ave., which closed in the late 1960s.
Also a long-time Erie County employee, Mrs. Greenman retired in 1977 after working in the finance department for 18 years. In the 1930s and 1940s she was a secretary in the veterans' service department.
Following her retirement, Mrs. Greenman resided for a time in Delray Beach, Fla. Later she moved to Palm Springs, Calif., where she worked as a teacher's aide in the Palm Springs School District from 1983 to 1992.
Mrs. Greenman was born in Ukraine and came to the United States with her family as a child. She was a graduate of School 12 and the former Fosdick Masten High School.
Her husband, Morris Greenman, died in 1994.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph of Berlin, Germany, and Ziskind of Los Angeles; a daughter, Leah Zisfein of Westport, Conn.; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday in Yonkers. Burial was in New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I.
