2 SEIZED AFTER MAN IS THREATENED WITH GUN, ROBBED OF $200

Two young men accused of threatening and robbing a resident in a Tracy Street apartment house were apprehended Thursday evening by Central District officers, authorities said.

Tyree Sommerville, 24, of Wyoming Avenue and Corey Green, 23, of Northampton Street robbed Wesley Harris of $200 after Sommerville pressed a loaded handgun against Harris' left temple, according to police.

After removing the money from Harris' pants pocket, police said, the robbers threw him against a sink and demanded more money.

Police said Sommerville and Green then fled to another apartment of the building, in the first block of Tracy, where they threatened to shoot Janice Allen's daughter if she opened the door for officers who were chasing them.

Responding to a call of a "man with a gun," Officers Mark Testa, Larry Richards and Oscar Barretto succeeded in arresting the two men at 7 p.m., authorities said.

Sommerville and Green were charged with robbery, burglary, criminal use and possession of a weapon and obstructing governmental administration.
