STANLEY KOBAN

Stanley Koban, 83, of 81st Street, a retired employee of the DuPont Buffalo Avenue Plant, died Tuesday (Sept. 14, 1999) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a short illness.

A native of Niagara Falls, Koban worked in maintenance at DuPont for 34 years until he retired in 1976. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and of its Usher Society.

He also was a member of DuPont's 25 Year Club and of various bowling leagues. Koban also enjoyed woodworking.

His wife, the former Nora Dzierzak, died in 1994.

Survivors include four sons, Thomas S. Koban of Tennessee, Alan W. of North Tonawanda, Kenneth V. of New Orleans, La., and Richard of Lockport; and six grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1055 Military Road, following prayers at 8:45 in the Zajac Funeral Home Inc., 319 24th St.
