GENETICALLY ALTERED FOODS SHOULD BE LABELED AS SUCH

I strongly agree with the Amherst man who wrote about the need to label genetically engineered foods. It appears that because of the Food and Drug Administration and corporations like Monsanto, we the people have little choice in selecting what we wish to eat or how it will affect us. The only alternative may be to purchase organic foods or grow our own. But since not all of us are able to do this, there must be concern for those who cannot.

What has happened to freedom of choice in this great country? Doesn't the FDA realize that the wishes and health of the American people should be at the top of the list? Have they forgotten that it is these same people who, through their taxes, pay their wages and butter their bread? Or is Monsanto buttering it?
