Singer Graham Nash remains hospitalized after breaking both legs in a boating accident off Kauai's south shore.
Nash, 57, of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, was boating off the island with his wife, Susan, and up to 15 friends on Sunday when their boat hit a wave, throwing Nash into the air.
"As he was coming down, another wave hit the boat and he landed very hard on the inside of the boat," said his manager, Gerry Tolman.
Nash was taken to Wilcox Memorial Hospital, where he underwent surgery to insert pins in his legs.
Nash will require a wheelchair for a couple of months while undergoing physical therapy, said Michael Jensen, his publicist. "He's lucky he's alive," Jensen said.
