DEPUTIES BOTTLE UP TWO ON PLINKING ALLEGATIONS

Two men plinking pop bottles in a backyard were charged with discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence, deputies reported Sunday.

Deputy Brian S. Schell said he went to a home on Witmer Road, on a complaint from neighbors, and found two men sitting drunk at a kitchen table with a 12-gauge shotgun and several beer bottles on the table.

Samuel L. Patrick, 35, who lives there, and his visitor, Michael S. Keyes of Sy Road, Niagara Falls, admitted shooting pop bottles in the backyard and were given appearance tickets for Sept. 28 in Wheatfield Town Court. Deputies said a test revealed a .14 alcohol content in Patrick, whose firearms permit, shotgun and .380 pistol were confiscated.
