ALEXANDER A. LUCZAK

Alexander A. Luczak, 84, a retired employee of Morton Salt Co., died Sunday (Sept. 12, 1999) in Veterans Hospital, Buffalo.

Luczak was born in Buffalo. He retired from Morton Salt in Silver Springs after 39 years of service.

He was well known for the Christmas tree farm in Silver Springs that he operated with his family for 46 years.

A veteran of World War II, he served in New Guinea and the Philippines and was discharged as a staff sergeant after 4 1/2 years of service.

He was a member of the Wyoming County Veterans Club in Warsaw; Lodge 560, Loyal Order of Moose; and the American Legion in Warsaw and was a former member of the New York State Christmas Tree Growers Association.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years the former Marvis Parmerter Ward; a son, Alex; a stepson, David Ward; and two grandchildren.

Private services will be scheduled. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
