Jeanette M. DelGobbo of DeVeaux Street, who had worked in the laundry room of Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, died Saturday (Sept. 11, 1999) in Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. She was 61.
The former Jeanette Urchik was born in Niagara Falls, Ont., and moved to this city in 1964. She worked as a housekeeper at the rectory of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church for 14 years and then at Mount St. Mary's for 11 years until recently becoming ill.
Mrs. DelGobbo was a member of St. Teresa's Church and the church's Guild.
She also was treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of Council 247, Knights of Columbus.
She enjoyed making flower arrangements and donating them to various organizations and her church.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent, known as Jimmy; two daughters, Patricia Fatouras of the Town of Niagara and Mary Baillargeon; two sons, Michael J. and Charles J.; her mother, Olga B. Urchik of Niagara Falls, Ont.; a sister, Olga Baldassara of Pompano Beach, Fla.; two brothers, William and Louis, both of Niagara Falls, Ont.; and a grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Teresa's Church, College and Macklem avenues, with prayers at 9:30 in Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave. Burial arrangements were incomplete.
