GRACE SULLIVAN WENDT, GOLFER AND RETIRED TEACHER

A Memorial Mass for Grace Sullivan Wendt, 85, of Williamsville, a retired teacher and an avid golfer, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd., Town of Tonawanda.

Burial was Friday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.

Mrs. Wendt, a native of Buffalo, died Wednesday (Sept. 8, 1999) in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a short illness.

She graduated from St. Mark's parochial school, Bennett High School and Buffalo State Teachers College. She taught in Schools 37 and 83 until her retirement in 1968.

Mrs. Wendt and her husband, Edward G., were founding members of the Tan Tara Golf Club.

She also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Town of Tonawanda Irish Club and Tonawanda Senior Citizens Club.

Her husband died in 1977.

Survivors include a daughter, Jill Bellanca of Amherst; a brother, Francis J. Sullivan of Bayonet Point, Fla.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
