CHURCH WILL BE SITE OF CONCERT, WORKSHOP ON INSPIRING LITURGY

Grayson Warren Brown, an internationally known liturgical composer, author and recording artist, will present a concert Friday and a workshop Saturday in Niagara Falls -- all as a result of some good luck.

St. Charles Roman Catholic Church was selected at random as the winner of an all-expenses-paid visit from one of Oregon Catholic Press' workshop presenters.

The events are sponsored by St. Charles Church and will be held at neighboring St. John de LaSalle Roman Catholic Church, 8469 Buffalo Ave.

Admission for the 7 p.m. concert is a free-will offering to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The concert is open to all people, of any religion.

The workshop topic is "Many Spokes, One Center" and is intended for people involved in Catholic liturgy -- including clergy, musicians, Eucharistic ministers, lectors, ushers, greeters, altar servers and members of the assembly. There is a $10 per person fee. Register by calling 283-7602. Check-in and light breakfast begin at 9 a.m., while the workshop itself runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
