SUSPECT, 24, APPREHENDED ON GUN-MENACING CHARGE

A May Street man who allegedly stuck a loaded handgun in the mouth of a Fillmore Avenue resident and threatened to kill him Thursday night was apprehended by Broadway Station police, authorities said.

Marcus A. Alexander, 28, was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing for allegedly putting the barrel of the gun in the mouth of Thomas Sanders Jr.

Sanders told arresting Officers Robert Joyce and Thomas Leatherbarrow that as he fled from Alexander's home, a shot was fired in his direction, police said.

Two guns were recovered from Alexander's residence in the 100 block of May at about 9:20 p.m. Assisting in the arrest were Officers Patrick Crowley and Walter Hrynczak.
