MAN KILLED WALKING TRACKS WAS LANCASTER RESIDENT

A Village of Lancaster man who died after he was hit by a train early Tuesday at Central Avenue and St. Joseph Street has been identified as Donald R. Howard, 35, of Sawyer Avenue, police said.

Howard was walking along the railroad tracks, apparently heading home after finding the bar he intended to visit was closed, police said. The accident occurred at about 5 a.m. Tuesday, about three-quarters of a mile from where he lived.
