TRAFFIC STOP NETS DRUG ARRESTS

Two Buffalo men were charged with possession of crack cocaine and marijuana after a state trooper stopped their speeding car Saturday night on the Niagara Thruway on Grand Island, police said Sunday.

Kevin Lee Jr, 18, of East Delevan Avenue, was carrying 1.8 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale, according to the investigating officer, Trooper Sergio Hernandez.

Jerry D. Rainy, 17, of Langmeyer Avenue, was charged with the unlawful possession of 16 grams of marijuana.

Rainy was also wanted in Cheektowaga on a burglarly charge, police said.

Both men were taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held on $10,000 bail.

Two other occupants in the car, both 16, were arrested on marijuana charges and later released.
